A little more about me

The person behind the practice

I've always believed there's something valuable about taking the time to truly listen—to understand not only what someone is experiencing, but what matters to them, how they see the world, and what has shaped their life.

I value creating a space where people can speak openly, think aloud, and explore difficult experiences without feeling pressured to have the right words, the right answers, or everything figured out.

Experience that shapes my work

A background caring for women

Before beginning my counseling practice, I worked in pastoral care at a hospital women's center and later served as program director at a women's shelter in San Antonio. These experiences shaped the way I think about emotional health and the many ways our relationships, experiences, and circumstances affect how we move through life. My background also includes graduate theological studies, a master’s degree in counseling, and specialized training in perinatal mental health.

Today, I work with women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, and motherhood, as well as those experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma.

What matters to me

Making space for the whole person

I'm interested not only in what someone is struggling with, but also in who they are, what matters to them, and how they want to live. Sometimes the questions without easy answers are the most important ones: Who am I in this season of life? What matters most to me? What do I want my life to look like? I enjoy helping women explore these questions, better understand themselves, and discover what feels most important in their lives.

Counseling is a very individual experience. Each person brings her own history, personality, relationships, and hopes into the session. My goal is to get to know you and use my experience and training in ways that are genuinely helpful for you.
