Frequently Asked Questions
Whether you’re new to counseling or wondering what working together might look like, I hope you’ll find helpful answers here.

If you're considering counseling, that's reason enough to explore it. You don't have to be in crisis or know exactly what's wrong. Sometimes there's one particular thing you're struggling with, and sometimes it's a lot of little things that have built up over time. We can start wherever you are.
-
Head to the “Get Started” page on my website, and fill out the form to schedule an appointment with me online. I’ll respond within 2 business days offering times for your first therapy appointment. If you’d like to chat over the phone before scheduling, please head to the same “Get Started” page and just indicate that when you complete the form, and I’ll give you a call.

My fee for online counseling (secure, HIPAA compliant video therapy) is $150 per 50 minute session.
I am in-network with select insurance providers, including Ascension, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Cigna, and Aetna. If you’d like to use your insurance for payment, please just let me know, and I’ll send you a link to the secure billing and insurance company that I use to manage insurance claims, copays, and receipts.

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get acquainted. I'll ask about what brings you to counseling, learn a little about your life and experiences, and talk with you about what you're hoping for. There's no pressure to share everything at once.

That depends on what you're working through and what you'd like to get out of our time together. Some women come for support through a particular challenge or transition, while others find longer-term counseling helpful. We'll revisit your goals along the way.

With online counseling, we will meet via secure video from wherever you feel comfortable and that allows for privacy. Prior to your appointment, I will send you a link, which you’ll click on at the time of our appointment. We'll talk over video as much as we would in a traditional counseling office—just without you needing to leave wherever you are. Online counseling has been really popular with women who only have one hour in the day for counseling so can’t accommodate the drive.
-
Not at all! I provide online counseling to clients throughout Texas. You simply need to be physically located in Texas at the time of our sessions.
I’m happy to talk through anything you’re wondering about.
